Okay, I’ll be the first to admit I can sometimes have a shopping problem. I like pretty things, it’s just in my nature. Luckily I’ve been working on that whole self-control thing in order to keep my wallet happy, and it’s been working out well so far. Thursday night, Mike & I were going to meet up with my mom for dinner, but she was running late at work so Mike & I decided to stop into Marshall’s to “browse” – but I managed to resist the urge to buy anything and instead just took pictures of cute things I liked instead… it’s sort of like owning it, right? I can still look at it whenever I want. Haha!
But we didn’t stop at just going to Marshall’s… we ended up at T.J. Maxx too. Then on our way to dinner at Crocker Park, I managed to sneak into Bath & Body Works while Mike stopped at Dick’s… oh my! It was definitely a day where I could have spent some serious cash. But I came home empty handed, and even though I was a little bummed at first, it only took a few moments to get over it and realize all of this stuff = things I don’t really need, especially not right now.
We did have a VERY nice dinner with my mom though – we went to Vieng’s Asian Bistro in Crocker Park. We all got sushi (tuna roll for me, spicy tuna roll for my mom & Mike), and I also got an egg roll as an appetizer. Then for dinner, Mike got Szechuan Beef, and my mom and I both got Pad Thai – YUM! It was perfect.
Well, I guess this is the part where I post all the pictures of our “shopping spree” – ha!
This picture gives you a nice look at the difference in prices from retail to store pricing. FYI.
Lemon Mint Leaf, from the Fresh Picked Home Fragrances line. I may have to go back and pick one of these up. Plus, how cute is it in the little mason jar? Adore!
Well, that’s all for now! Just a silly random post 🙂
I’ve got 2 more in the works for this week while I’m on spring break, so keep an eye out for them!
Do you like to shop at T.J. Maxx or Marshall’s? And do you have as hard of a time as me coming out without buying anything? 🙂
