It’s a new year, which means new commitments and learning from the year before. Most people will be recommitting to some form of health and fitness resolutions. Eating better, working out more… always hoping we are better than last year. Here’s to reaching our goals!
Welcome to another Weekly Fitness Update, where I recap the week’s workouts and any other miscellaneous health/fitness-related thoughts. Thanks for helping me keep myself accountable 🙂
I don’t have much to report because most of this was over the holidays… but I got a couple of workouts in and that’s better than nothing! It was nice to be in South Carolina and have the chance to run outside, too.
Monday (12/23): Off (Working & packing for vacation)
Tuesday (12/24): Off (Traveling & spending time with family/opening presents)
Wednesday (12/25): Yep, I worked out on Christmas! 1.5 miles in 26.5 minutes
Thursday (12/26): Off (much needed relaxation day!)
Friday (12/27): My mom and I took advantage of the nice weather in South Carolina and did another 1.5 miles! It was gorgeous out.
And that’s all I’ve got so far. Saturday the 28th was spent traveling home & going to a belated Christmas party… and then of course there was New Year’s… but the celebrations have come to an end and now it’s time to really focus on my health & fitness. I’m not going to guilt myself over some of the holiday indulgence… it happens and it was fun! I did make sure not to over indulge though, and now I’m ready to eat fresh & healthy. In fact, I’m almost sick of meat entirely. I don’t think I’ll be eating any beef or pork for a long while… I still like chicken and fish, but I just want to eat less of it… and I’m hoping to incorporate more vegetarian meals into my routine.
Oh and on the bright side… now that it’s 2014, I can use my new Fitness Journal that I talked about 😉
