Weekend Adventures: Sisterhood, Sunshine, and Super Sunday!

For once, I actually have fun weekend adventures to share with you! I had an absolutely FANTASTIC weekend, one that I definitely needed to rev up this spring. πŸ™‚

Saturday was the Founder’s Day celebration for my chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma at Kent State University. The city of Kent has changed SO MUCH since I first started going there and I loved seeing how much it’s grown. My chapter has also grown exponentially since I first joined and it makes me SO proud. They are accomplishing amazing things and it definitely made me nostalgic to be back with all my sisters and back in Kent. I loved it πŸ™‚

This year Founder’s Day was held in the new Kent Hotel and Conference Center which is absolutely gorgeous! The weather was B-E-A-UTIFUL and it honestly couldn’t have been a more perfect day. Our celebration included brunch, a raffle (which my big & I contributed a “health & fitness” themed basket to), and lots of inspiring words from current sisters, and awards for current sisters! It’s always so inspiring to see what the chapter is doing. I couldn’t be prouder to be a Tri Sigma sister πŸ™‚

It was so sunshiney and beautiful out - we loved being outside for photos. They sure are bright though!

It was so great to see my sisters again and I wish I had more time to catch up with all of them! It was definitely a short but sweet trip.

Once I got home from Founder’s Day, Mike had dinner cooking in the slow cooker so we decided to get out for a bike ride and enjoy the gorgeous weather. It was our first bike ride in Lakewood (since we moved there in late September and bike-riding weather was pretty much gone). We rode up to the lake and back (4.5 miles total) and it was just perfect!

Couldn't wait to get my daily Shakeology shake in before our bike ride :)

On Sunday, I got to spend the day with Mike & my friend Will. We went to a Beachbody Super Sunday event hosted in Uniontown, Ohio and it was such a blast! I learned a lot (as a new coach), got to sample some of their nutrition products (including Shakeology, which I already love, and P90X bars), and we got an amazing workout in. I also got to learn SO much more about how amazing Shakeology is, and it honestly blew me away. Stay tuned to JessicaGetsFit.com for more on Super Sunday coming very soon πŸ™‚
