Weekend Adventures

It kind of feels weird that my college friends are headed back to school today – I’m happy that I’m not one of them (because, let’s face it, not having to take notes, study for exams, and all of that is fantastic…) but I can’t help but be a little nostalgic. That’s normal, right?

I really like my post-grad life, though. It’s not always perfect, but I’ve been having a lot of fun, experiencing so many new things, and learning and growing. I loved college, but real life teaches you so much more than being in the classroom. I’m still adjusting, but in a good way. As I’ve said before… I’m a work in progress ๐Ÿ˜‰ Anyways… on to what I was up to this past weekend ๐Ÿ™‚

Friday night was girls night out with my best pal B, her mom, my mom, and a couple other people! We went to Aces Grille in North Ridgeville for food, drinks, and fun! I ended up leaving early because Mike & I were getting up early for our Saturday plans, but I still had a fun night! It was so funny to see our moms having a ball together. They need to hang out more often.

Bar selfies.
Judge away…

Saturday was Mike’s company day at Cedar Point, so we got free admission, food, & drinks! It was GORGEOUS weather-wise. Sunny, not a cloud in sight, but also not overwhelmingly hot… and the nice lake breeze helped.

We got our fix by around 5PM after doing a loop around the park, finding out Maverick was broken down, and didn’t feel like waiting 2+ hours for Millenium Force, so we called it a day. We were still able to ride quite a bit of rides, though!

We met up with my mom afterwards for a fresh, healthy dinner (way better than the food at Cedar Point… although I did learn that there’s a buffet that has salads & stuff which I did not know before, so next time I’ll be checking that out.)

My amazing dinner from Fresh/Liquid Planet in Avon, OH! This. Was. So. Freaking. Good.

I love Fresh/Liquid Planet’s brown rice… with their salsa added in!
Mike got his Cleveland Barons jersey in the mail.
Yes, it’s fake (they don’t make real ones anymore). He’s OBSESSED. Haha.
Kitty cuddling with her daddy! Too cute.

Sunday also consisted of a run, which you can read about in my weekly fitness update… Mike & I felt really old Sunday night and today, Cedar Point did a number on us (especially that Mean Streak…). My body’s never been so sore!

This week will mostly be focused on working out more & getting ready for our move (less than 3 weeks!).
