Weekend Adventures

Well, we made it through Monday!

I think that’s the hardest part after holidays/vacation, the first day back.
Time to get back into the routine and responsibilities.

Here’s some highlights from my 4th of July weekend:

Sported a Rosie the Riveter look for a night out & fireworks:

A little chambray & a red bandana…

My mom and I met up with B. and her mom for dinner at Winking Lizard and fireworks in Brunswick!
It was a fun night out with great friends πŸ™‚

July 4th consisted of shopping with mom & going out to eat. Then on July 5th, after I got off work (boo), we headed to downtown for dinner and Book of Mormon. Β I am so glad we got tickets – it was just as good as everyone has said. I really wish Mike could’ve come because he would’ve LOVED it.

While shopping on the 4th, we found my mom this GORGEOUS Ralph Lauren maxi dress that you can kind of see in the above photos; (I’m passing the trend onto her, ha!) – it looked so good on her that I made her buy it πŸ˜‰ I also wore my maxi dress outfit, which you may remember from a previous post

Before the show, we ate at Alex Bistro & Bar. We started off with a bread & cheese plate, which I followed with a baby bibb salad and homemade Italian wedding soup:

This was my favorite!

Saturday, we ventured up to the Toledo area to visit my aunt, uncle, and cousin as well as my grandparents who were visiting from South Carolina! It was relaxing & casual, with LOTS of rain:

But, the highlight to my weekend was of course welcoming home Mike from his vacation!

Goodness I missed him πŸ™‚

I’d say it’s time for us to settle back into our routine, but these next 2 weeks are so busy that there is no routine – oh well! It certainly keeps things interesting πŸ™‚

Have a great week!
