Did you check out Part 1 of our “Tour de Cleveland” adventure? We had as much fun as we could during our last weeks in Cleveland. But the fun didn’t stop there! Ready for part 2?
Tour de Cleveland, Part 2
The next stop on our “tour” was the new Forage Public House in Lakewood! I’ve been hearing so many good things about this place, I had to put it on my list of things to try before we go! The pommes frites (with garlic, rosemary, and aoili) were delicious, as were the beignets. Mike also tried the poutine and was very adventurous by trying the rabbit. Mom and I split a salad and the kobe beef hangar steak.
Then we set our sights on another popular attraction in CLE: the Hofbrauhaus of Cleveland. German fare, drinks, and entertainment greeted us after a little bit of a wait (I told you this place is popular!) and we had one hell of a good time. And yes – we did a shot ski.
On our last official night at our apartment in Lakewood, Mike, my mom and I decided to go to Angelo’s Pizza. I completely forgot that all 3 of us also went to Angelo’s Pizza on our very first night at the apartment. It was a really cool coincidence! Plus we just love Angelo’s.
We ended our very last day in Cleveland with a bang: wine tasting at the new Heinen’s in downtown Cleveland, followed by amazing seats to the Cleveland Cavaliers game (if only we had stayed for the playoffs!). The new Heinen’s is absolutely beautiful, and we loved having one more chance to spend time with our friends. Then going to the Cavs game was just a blast! Mom scored the seats through her work and it was the perfect sendoff, we loved being able to see LeBron in person (for the first, and maybe last? time). Who knows. All I know is… I wish I could go to a playoffs game! Cleveland so deserves this though, I hope the Cavs pull off a win. Anyways, back to the pictures.
Wow, that’s it! That wraps up our final adventures in Cleveland (for now!). I can’t believe how fast the time has gone… I’ll start posting about life in Raleigh very soon, promise! Plus, we’ll be heading back to Cleveland at the end of the summer 🙂 Missing everyone up north!
Until next time…
