The Little Bright Things

New has been the theme of my life lately. Change & growth have been in full force, so it was about time I updated my look, too. And what better time than fall to do just that? The leaves are changing, the weather is changing… it’s quite fitting.

As soon as I put this outfit together, I knew I wanted to wear it ASAP. First impressions are extremely important, and I wanted to look put together without overdoing it for my first day. I really like the way it turned out:

Top: DKNY Jeans
Pants: LC by Lauren Conrad
Necklace: LOFT
Boots: Candie’s

My favorite part of the entire outfit (of course).

My only complaints about this outfit just have to do with my body type/size. I can’t for the life of me find a truly perfect fitting pair of pants. They’re usually too long & a bit baggy in the thighs. Which was a lot more evident in the photos than even I realized. Ugh. Oh well.Β I love seeing how much my hair has grown since my last fashion post. A big thanks to my boyfriend for being a good sport & taking these photos for me πŸ™‚

  • Get a good tailor! If you’re having trouble finding a good fit for the pants you reeeeeally want, get them tailored! I have large hips and thighs but small in the waist. So I have to buy all my pants up a size or two just to get them over my hips and then I have the waist tailored down. You can get a to long pant hemmed for like 5 bucks. Love the necklace, I’ll be hunting that down!

    • I’ll have to look into that! I always had the perception that it would take a lot of time and/or was expensive. I can definitely spare an extra $5 for a better fit though! Thanks for the tip πŸ™‚ I hope you find that necklace! It was the only one in the store I visited and I’m so glad I stopped to look because it’s such a versatile piece that can be worn with practically anything! I know it’ll be getting my money’s worth of use.
