My whole mouth/tooth incident left me only able to eat soft foods so I was very limited on what I could eat, plus I couldn’t work out… so I’ve had a bit of a set back/a lost week, which sucks… But a set back just means I have to come back from it & be even more focused! I’ve still got some swelling & soreness so I’m hoping it will subside by Saturday to get back into the swing of things.
I’m also seriously looking into a few 5Ks to do this summer/fall. What’s an appropriate time to leave between two 5Ks? (haha) I’ve found quite a few but don’t want to do too much, too soon.
Oh, and the icing on the cake of this week? My bike broke last night! So I’m very disappointed about that, but luckily I was able to return it. I guess that’s my own fault for buying a Wal-Mart bike… ha. I’m going to try to save up for something a little nicer now, but I do have some extra money from the return, so…
I think I’m going to buy this Nike+ SportWatch since I’m already using the Nike+ system plus I’ve started using Daily Mile too. 🙂
What 5Ks are you running this year? Any I should look into?
Right now I’m definitely interested in these ones:
- Dirty Girl Mud Run (for fun) on July 20th
- Wigs for Kids Zoo Run on July 27th
- Run or Dye (color run) on August 10th
- Inside the Park Home Run on August 18th at Progressive Field
- Downtown Willoughby 5K on September 15th
There were a few others that I was also interested in, but these were my favorites without cramming too much in. I am definitely excited for the Downtown Willoughby one, I think I’m going to sign up for that one this weekend no matter what. It looks too fun! Not only can you preview the race in August, but you also get THREE free beers with your entry fee, AND a pint glass!
