March Excitement: Stella & Dot Trunk Show, Pittsburgh, and Playhouse Square’s Broadway Announcement

A lot of exciting stuff is happening in March! It’s nice to have things to look forward to, and makes the stressful or boring days go by faster.
{This will be a jam-packed blog post, haha!}

Today is officially 60 days until graduation! (This picture was from yesterday).

I can’t even begin to explain how excited I am, but also how surreal it’s becoming! I have so much to look forward to, and so many great memories to look back on. I truly feel blessed for my experiences at Kent.

On Friday, I’m hosting my first Stella & Dot Trunk Show!

I decided to have one because not only do I love their jewelry line, but I wanted to try something new & I thought this could be a fun little event and another excuse to have friends over! Plus there’s perks for hosting one too, of course ๐Ÿ˜‰ It’s going to be a night of fun, fashion, and friends!

The first Stella & Dot piece I ever saw was this gorgeous necklace, and I was in love from then on:

If you are in the Northeast Ohio/Cleveland area and are interested in coming, send me an e-mail by clicking hereย (or better yet, tweet at me @AnchoredinCLE) and I’ll give you all the details!ย (I know, kind of crazy to put an invitation on the internet, but one of the reasons I started this blog was to interact with/meet new people, etc… so why not!)

If that’s too forward/awkward/or if you’re just not able to come or aren’t in the Cleveland area – have no fear! You can still shop online if you are interested ๐Ÿ™‚ Go to my Trunk Show Online Store and view the collection! I guarantee you will not be disappointed. There’s something for everyone!

I’m looking forward to the upcoming weekend, too. It’s St. Patty’s Day weekend! One of my favorite holidays ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m not sure exactly how Irish I am, but I think I do have some in my heritage. It doesn’t hurt that green is my favorite color, too ๐Ÿ˜‰ This year, Mike & I will actually be going to Pittsburgh on Saturday (the day before) to hang out with our friends Arielle & her boyfriend Adam (who is Mike’s best friend from college). We had planned on going to Pittsburgh a couple of weekends ago but it fell through, so we rescheduled for this weekend. I’ve been wanting to go to this place called Dino’s Sports Lounge, which I went to a couple of years ago with my old college roommate who’s from PA. Their “Sweet and Hot” wings are award-winning in PA and I’ve been craving them ๐Ÿ™‚ So that’s on the schedule, as well as some karaoke too! Mike’s favorite holiday is St. Patty’s Day too, and he is gung-ho about showing off his Columbus Blue Jackets pride while in Pittsburgh, so he DIYed his own CBJ St. Patty’s Day shirt, and it turned out pretty awesome!

So he will be rocking that – and hopefully not getting booed too much, hahaha! {He also wants to sing “Cleveland Rocks” at karaoke…}

Yesterday, I found out that I won tickets to Playhouse Square’s Broadway Announcement Launch Party for the 2013-2014 season! Charlene from Life in the CLE was generous enough to have a giveaway for two sets of 2 tickets and I was one of the lucky winners!

I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am. I have never been to anything like this, and I’m such a spontaneous person, I love adventure and trying new things, so this is going to be so fun for me. Plus even though I haven’t been to a lot of Broadway shows – I definitely do enjoy them and have been wanting to go to a show at Playhouse Square for such a long time!

And what’s even better – Mike said he would come with me! I wasn’t sure if he’d be interested, but I’m really excited for us to do something new together. The party is on Tuesday, March 19th at 7pm!
Now all I have to do is figure out what to wear! ๐Ÿ™‚

Lastly, spring break is coming up in about 2 weeks! I’m so, so, SO looking forward to a whole week with no responsibilities, no assignments being due, etc. It’s going to be so relaxing. Plus, getting out of Ohio will be nice. Oh yeah, Mike & I are going to New Jersey to visit his parents! We’ve already got plans to go to a New York Islanders hockey game, hopefully take his mom’s puppy to the dog park, and so much more! I do fear that after coming back from spring break, it will be hard to get back into the groove of school because I will be SO close to graduation, but I know I’ll pull through and finish out the semester on a good note ๐Ÿ™‚

So, enough about me! What do you have to look forward to this March?
