I’m Boring / Life Lately

I have a confession to make – well really it’s just a feeling, I guess. I feel like I have been very boring lately. Maybe it’s this damn weather in Ohio that’s dragging me down,Β maybe it’s just one of those weeks (or months?), but I feel SO LAME (but content, too). I have nothing to write about because I haven’t done anything fun. My weekend consisted of the following: watching TV with Mike, cleaning our apartment, catching up on buttloads of laundry, working out, and hanging out with our cats. That’s it. Oh, and we got lunch with my mom & went grocery shopping & paid bills haha. Boring grown up things.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m more introverted than extroverted (though I have my moments), and Mike’s the same way. So even though it’s nothing exciting to write about, we actually really enjoyed not having any plans and not having anything to do. I am super anxious for warmer weather so things can liven up a bit, but I guess sometimes you just need a weekend like that. Here’s the highlights from our weekend:

So that’s life lately. Boring, simple, but fantastic. I am SO excited that one of my best friends/my big is moving to downtown Cleveland next month though! And she’s supposed to be starting a blog of her own soon… so I’m sure we’ll have all kinds of fun adventures together. It’s weird having most of your friends live far away… not that it’s really all that far but when you’re grown up you all have your own lives and jobs and responsibilities so it’s hard to see everyone as often. Luckily my group ofΒ friends from high school still tries to get together at least once every couple of months (we’re trying to get it to once a month but again, schedules are hard to match up!).

So what’s new with you?!

  • Hey girl! First of all… you aren’t boring! It’s good to hear that your content though! That means you’re happy! Yeah!!

Second, thanks for following all my blogs and social networks recently. I looked on my blogroll and saw you weren’t there for some reason. I made it over a year ago though so that may be why. Anyway, your blog has been added. Not that I get a lot of hits right now πŸ˜‰ As you can tell I’ve had some major writing ruts myself. I love blogging but when I start a blog I seem to lose steam pretty quickly. I recently have planned some field trips to get out of the house and to also have something to write about. I hope to get more consistent with my writing! I’m also reading some books that I hope will help me stay motivated to write… currently I’m reading “The Accidental Genius”.

So here’s something funny… and sort of stalker-y sounding but I’ll tell you anyway. Last night I had a dream that I had to interview Tina Fey… we didn’t make it through the whole interview before she had to go but her and I hit it off and I was kind of excited, thinking she and I were going to become friends. The next day she came back for the rest of the interview and I had you over as well so you could interview her for your blog. Guess what… she loved you! More than she loved me!! She even said it! She was like “Sorry Jacquie but I like Jessica way better than you,” as she was bumping her shoulder against yours. (LOL)

I was like, “Whatever, I don’t care. I’m just here to interview you.” But inside I was crushed! Tina Fey didn’t like me!

And that was pretty much it. Dumb dream but I woke up feeling a little sad (hahah) and also thinking it was sooo funny that you were in my dream … probably because I’ve seen your face a lot on the blogs and Pinterest recently. Dreams are weird that way. πŸ˜‰

Anyway Missy, sorry for such a long comment! Keep on loving your life and keep on writing. Your blog is fun to read and also inspirational! Have a great day!

  • It’s definitely not a bad thing to be an introvert! I am one as well and often find that nights spent doing nothing are better than nights out. But the warmer weather (whenever it decides to appear) will make things much better, I think!

    • I completely agree. I think the weather does affect it and I’m much more active and social when it’s warmer out. There’s also lots more to do usually!

  • Cute little kitties! I got to a different site from your instagram that showed all your workouts…you had a great week. I love spinning…can’t wait to get back into it! I am also an IFP ambassador!:D

  • I feel the same way–that my life is just a routine. Let’s blame it on the usually nasty (although not today!!) weather we have to deal with in Ohio. πŸ™‚
