A lot can happen in 2 years. A lot can change. I am thankful to say that through the changes, I’ve had my best friend by my side. He’s one of the most important people in my life. It’s hard to put into words how lucky I feel.
It’s not like it’s our 2 year wedding anniversary, so I won’t go too overboard but… we have a lot of great memories so far 🙂 From my graduation and starting our careers, me moving into his apartment, then getting our first real place together, adopting 2 cats, and so much more… to all our inside jokes and the way he makes me laugh… family cuddle time, taking walks, talking about everything and nothing, exploring Cleveland, & starting our life together… I couldn’t imagine doing all of this with anyone else. We both come from spread out families so we are each other’s family. We help each other be better people. We fight, but we always make up. We support each other and encourage the other to achieve our dreams. And most of all, we’re crazy in love.
It’s so funny to think of all the things that led us to each other, choices we both made that if we hadn’t, we never would’ve met. It makes it hard not to believe in some kind of divine intervention, or maybe it’s just serendipity.
We celebrated our anniversary a day early because Mike left early this morning to go home to New Jersey for Christmas. We were originally going to get dinner in downtown Cleveland but because we both had a long week, we decided to stay in Lakewood which was still very nice. We had dinner at Eddie Cerino’s Casual Italian and got a couple treats from Campbell’s Sweets Factory. Then we came home and relaxed, cuddled, and watched a movie.
In the beginning of our relationship, Mike made me a couple mix CDs and I made a couple for him in return. Mine are much cheesier than his were, but that’s to be expected. So to keep with the tradition, here’s a virtual Mix CD 🙂
Thanks babe (even though I don’t know if you’ll see this) for being my #1 fan, my rock, and even my reality check when needed. You have changed my life in so many amazing ways and I couldn’t imagine ever being without you.
