Halloween – it’s kind of hard not to enjoy this holiday, amiright?! Costumes, candy, children everywhere… well okay, it might not be for everyone 😉 However, at the company I work for, Halloween is serious business. I’m not kidding when I say the theme was planned MONTHS in advance. We started a spreadsheet in May… and we started planning NEXT YEAR’s theme the morning of our 2016 Halloween party. Yeah…
So this year, the company theme was Marvel / Hero-ween. I admittedly don’t follow comics all that much (though I’ve seen some of the Marvel movies), and also didn’t want to spend a ton of money on a costume, so I picked something pretty easy. I decided to dress up as Maria Hill (or as I refer to her… Robin Scherbatsky). Cuz lets be real, that’s who she is and who she’ll always be. If you have no idea who I’m talking about, let me show ya:
So basically she just wears all black, which is super easy. I already had black leather boots, leather / liquid leggings, and both a leather jacket and a leather vest (all of which is faux leather)… so all I had to do was put it all together! I decided to go with the leather vest instead of the full jacket since it was pretty warm out. Everyone got their photos taken by our resident photographer, who is actually our graphic designer… so he took all of our photos and made them look BADASS. Here’s mine:
We had a lot of fun goofing around & taking pictures for a while. Then we just hung out at the office, had some drinks and played some games before going out to the bar. It was a perfect evening for day drinking on a patio! Here are some more photos from the evening:
I’ve had a LOT of fun Halloweens and this year did not disappoint. I was hoping to get an Underdog costume for Tegan, but that didn’t happen. Maybe next year we’ll get her an actual costume though!
How did you celebrate Halloween this year? What did you dress up as?
