CLE! Are you ready to get dirty this summer? Challenge yourself with the original women-only national mud run series – Dirty Girl!
What is it?
Dirty Girl is a 5k mud run for women of all ages and athletic abilities. Run, walk or crawl over and through obstacles and experience the muddiest and most fun-filled day of your life. Don’t worry – it’s not a “race” in the traditional sense. It is an untimed obstacle course designed to push you slightly out of your comfort zone, but only as far as you are comfortable going. At a Dirty Girl Mud Run you’ll find excitement, laughter, and camaraderie—as well as lots of music and even some adult beverages. It’s a day you’ll never forget. (For more information about Dirty Girl, visit their about page.)
When is it?
Saturday, July 20th, 2013
Where is it?
Cleveland, OH (more specifically – Southington Offroad Park in Garrettsville, Ohio).

Want to run with me?
I have a team you can join – during registration, select the option to register with a team, then find “Anchored in CLE Blog” in the drop down list! (I’m in the 9:30AM wave). You can also use this coupon code to get 20% off of the registration cost (but hurry, registration prices go up on July 3rd!) – DGCLEVEBLOGGUEST.
I hope you’ll come out & get muddy with me! It’s going to be a fun time 🙂
- At least 1 cancer survivor runs in every wave of a Dirty Girl run; this could mean hundreds of proud survivors any one event. Survivors always run free of charge.
- Army wives frequently run in teams with ladies whose husbands are all stationed in the same place; their camaraderie is uplifting and inspiring.
- The average participant age is 38, but the oldest Dirty Girls have been in their eighties
How fun does that look? Let’s get muddy, Cleveland!
Disclosure: I was invited to attend this event for free in exchange for blogging about the event & sharing on social media. I was provided a discount code for my readers. I was not paid for this post. As always, opinions are 100% my own.
