One of my 25-before-25 goals was to step out of my comfort zone by doing something I wouldn’t normally think to do. The opportunity presented itself when Jessica from Midwest Muse invited me to be one of her models for her collection for the Goodwill Good Style Fashion Show held last Thursday. Even though I was nervous about it, I jumped at the chance to do something different. I’m finding that I actually really enjoy pushing myself out of my comfort zone.
The event was so much fun, and I was so excited to be surrounded by so many incredible ladies, and even more incredible fashion picks from local Northeast Ohio Goodwills. You all know my friend/big sis Dawn by now – she actually got to be a model with me since Jessica had openings & it was so much fun to have her out there with me!
We had the pleasure of getting our hair and makeup done by the students at the Brown Aveda Institute and holy crap did they do a good job. I mean, LOOK. AT. MY. HAIR!!! Okay yes, I’m kind of obsessed 🙂
We took lots of photos outside after the show – the lighting was great and the scenery was awesome too! We were right by the Cuyahoga River with a stunning view of downtown.
It was so much fun hanging out with the other blogger models: Rachel, Anna, Gina, and Abby. Don’t forget to check out Jessica’s recap as well – she created all of our amazing looks and invited us to be part of the show, so huge thanks to her!
