25 Before 25

I’ve been wanting to create this list for a while and I finally finished it!
I am turning 25 on September 25th, which is also my Golden Birthday.
Pretty sweet, right?

I’ll hopefully be documenting these on here as they happen, and I’ve also created a page to keep track of my progress. (I’m also working on a “Life List” and a “CLE Bucket List” so stay tuned for those!)
So without further ado:

To commemorate this occasion, here are 25 things I hope to accomplish before my birthday:

  1. Complete a 10K
  2. Do at least 1 more 5K
  3. Travel somewhere I’ve never been
  4. Learn a new hobby or skill
  5. Volunteer!
  6. Put at least $25 per paycheck into my savings account
  7. Try something new / do something I’ve never done before
  8. Try something I would normally never do (get out of my comfort zone)
  9. Lose 15-20 pounds
  10. Spend more time outdoors this spring/summer/fall
  11. Use my DSLR camera more (and get better with it)
  12. Do a “Random Act of Kindness”
  13. Read at least 5 books
  14. Make a new friend
  15. Take a class of some kind (graphic design, photography, cooking, etc)
  16. Visit the Terminal Tower Observation Deck
  17. Go to a concert
  18. Go on a vacation
  19. Go geocaching
  20. Go camping
  21. Create my own wine (Your Wine Cellar in Strongsville, perhaps?)
  22. Go to Mount Washington in Pittsburgh
  23. Go off the grid for an entire weekend (disconnect from technology)
  24. Do a wine tasting
  25. Get a library card
  26. (Extra) –ย Get another tattoo
  27. (Extra) – Write a handwritten letter to someone
  28. (Extra) – Do a Pinterest DIY project

Considering I only have a little over 6 months, I don’t necessarily expect to accomplish all of these, but it’ll be fun to try to do as many as I can!

Have you ever made a list like this? What were your items?
Do you have any suggestions for other things I could add to mine?

    • Thanks Kim! It’s been a while in the making but I’m glad I finally finished it. I like thinking of things I want to do/accomplish and having a place for me to keep track of that. Even if I don’t finish them all, I’ll at least have tried (plus I can always add the unfinished ones to my next list, haha).

  • You can definitely do it! I have a bucket list on my blog and I’m slowly crossing things out… As you say, it’s fun to try to accomplish as many things as possible…

    • Thanks Mike! I’ve already done a couple so I have a good start… there’s a few I’m not sure I’ll complete entirely but I’m sure gonna try! Thanks for stopping by my blog ๐Ÿ™‚

  • These are great goals!! I’ve always wanted to go to the Terminal Tower Observation Deck too!! Seems like such a fun way to see Cleveland.

  • This list is great and is so inspiring! I’m posting a part of my 30 before 30 list tomorrow on my blog, so it must be on Virgos minds! Love the ideas … good luck on your list!

  • I love this! I’ve been thinking of making my own bucket list and reverse bucket list. What new hobby do you want to learn?

    • I haven’t 100% figured that out yet haha. Maybe something crafty, like crochet or something. It could also just be a skill, maybe something I’d use in my professional life.

  • i am always trying to get myself to read more books…my goal used to be one per month but last year i read five books total. so this year i’m just trying to beat that! i think five is doable though ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Have you seen all 3 of Cleveland’s major pro sports teams play in person? I’m surprised by the number of Clevelanders who haven’t. That could be another thing to add.

I made beer at The Beer Kettle (which is right next to The Wine Cellar) and had a blast. I’m normally not too picky with my beer but the beer that my buddies and I made is excellent and I’m having a hard time drinking other stuff these days. Enjoy making your own wine!

  • I love lists like these!! I’m working on my 3rd 101 Things in 1001 Days list and I can’t wait to get it completed some more ๐Ÿ™‚

  • These are great – I just may borrow a few…for 27 before 27? AH.

Geocaching – really easy to do right in the area, I did quite a few in the Lakewood/Ohio City/Rocky River area.
