I’ve never done one of these before, but I’ve seen quite a few bloggers do them (check out Liz’sJess’s, and Rachael’s)… and I really like the idea behind it, so here’s my interpretation.

2013 for me included a lot of change, growth, persistence, and fearlessness. It was an incredible year.

I can only hope that 2014 will top it.

In thinking about what I want 2014 to be about, it’s hard for me to pick just one word. I’m at a cross-roads in life, or maybe a stand-still depending on how you look at it. I’ve done a lot of changing and growing, and now I’m at a pretty stable point in my life. I want to keep growing as a professional, a girlfriend, and as a woman in general; but at the same time, I am content with where my life is right now. I have a great job, an amazing boyfriend, and a great apartment in a great city. Deciding on a word wasn’t easy, there’s so many words I like, it’s hard to choose. Live, Gratitude, Create, Fearless, Intention, Adventure, Explore, Positivity, Strength, Compassion, Hope, Balance… the list goes on. What it comes down to is this: Where do I see my life going in the next year? I guess the biggest thing I want to work on this year is personal development, mainly in my health & fitness journey… but in other ways too. So in a way, grow could be 2014’s word of the year too, but that’s no fun. so I decided to go with…

PROGRESS! Why? Because I want to continue to make positive changes in my life and progress toward my goals. And also because…
